Running Tasks
Task statuses
Look up what each task status means and whether the task has finished.
The pill in the Status column shows the last status the task reported. The task log uses the same names, one line per status change. A long wait can add a detail in brackets, such as how long WAITING FOR CODE has lasted.
The log also shows warning lines, such as a retry reason or the inbox a Target task fell back to. A warning row shows a short headline. Hover it to read the full sentence.
The colour of the pill tells you where the task stands.
- Blue means the task is in progress.
- Green means it finished well.
- Red means it ended badly.
- Amber means something you should look at. It does not mean something is broken.
- Grey means the task is switched off.
A finished task has stopped running and holds no slot. The group card counts it under genned or failed instead of running.
Red does not always mean finished. A task that hits a wall inside a retry loop shows red while it keeps working.
In progress#
None of these are final. The task is still working.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| QUEUED | Started, but a cap is full. Most modules run up to 5 tasks at a time, and Walmart CA runs up to 30. Hover the status to see which cap is full, for example waiting for a free Walmart slot — that module is at its cap (30). The task holds nothing and starts by itself when a slot frees up. |
| STARTING SESSION, SOLVING PX, SOLVING AKAMAI, SOLVING CAPTCHA | Opening a session and getting past the storefront's bot check. |
| CREATING ACCOUNT, CONFIRMING ACCOUNT | The gen flow. The pill shows the step the task is on right now. |
| WAITING FOR CODE | Waiting for the email code. |
| SUBMITTING OTP | Sending the email code. |
| CAPTCHA REJECTED — RETRY | The storefront refused the captcha or asked for a new one. The task tries again on a fresh challenge. |
| PREPARING ENGINE | The task is getting its engine ready before the first request. On a first Amazon run, this includes a download. |
| SOLVING PROOF OF WORK | Amazon set a challenge, and the task is working through it. |
| CHECKING SESSION, CHECKING HOUR LIMIT, ASKING APPLE | The iCloud steps. The task checks the Apple session and the hourly limit, then asks Apple for the alias. |
| HOURLY CAP | iCloud. The Apple ID has made its 5 aliases for this hour. The task waits and starts again by itself when a slot frees up. |
| LOGGING IN | An add-SMS or raffle task is signing in to an account you already have. |
| CHECKING FOR SMS, NEEDS SMS | An add-SMS task is checking whether the account has a number. NEEDS SMS means it has none, so the task adds one next. |
| ALLOCATING NUMBER, WAITING FOR SMS, SMS CODE RECEIVED, POLLING FOR NUMBER, NUMBER OOS, ADDING PHONE, ROTATING NUMBER | The phone steps. From ALLOCATING NUMBER on, a number is rented and you are spending money. |
| LOADING DROP PAGE, SOLVING DROP CAPTCHA, ENTERING RAFFLE, CONFIRMING BY EMAIL | The raffle steps, after LOGGING IN. |
| STARTING SIGNUP, REQUESTING EMAIL CODE, WAITING FOR EMAIL CODE, EMAIL VERIFIED, RENTING NUMBER, PHONE VERIFIED, CREATING MEMBERSHIP | The Premium Bandai steps. From RENTING NUMBER on, a number is rented. |
| BANDAI BUSY — RETRYING | Premium Bandai pushed back on the request. The task tries again by itself. |
| ROTATING PROXY | Switching to another proxy. |
| RESTARTING | Retrying after a failed attempt. |
Successful results#
All of these are final.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ACCOUNT GENNED | The account was created, saved and filed into the group's account group. |
| SMS VERIFIED | The account was created, with a number attached and verified. |
| PHONE ADDED | An add-SMS task attached a number to an account that already existed. |
| ALREADY GENNED | Amber. The address already had an account, so nothing was created. It counts as a success because the account exists. The address is used up. |
| ALREADY SMS VERIFIED | Amber. The account already had a number. Nothing was rented. |
| PHONE NOT ADDED | Amber. The account was created, but adding the phone fell short. It still counts as a success, because the account exists. |
| ACCOUNT ALREADY EXISTS | Amber. Amazon's own message that the address is taken. |
| ENTERED, ALREADY ENTERED | The account is in the raffle. If the retailer says it was already in, that counts the same. |
Failures#
All of these are final.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| GEN FAILED | Every attempt in the task's budget failed. |
| STALLED — NO PROGRESS | The watchdog saw no output for the stall window and freed the slot. It is about the silence only and says nothing about the storefront. |
| OUT OF PROXY DATA | Your proxy plan's data is used up, so the vendor refuses the connection before any request goes out. The limit is on the plan, so every proxy on that list is dead. Top up or switch lists. |
| NO OTP INBOX ATTACHED | The flow needs an email code and no inbox is attached. Retrying cannot fix this. |
| NO ACCOUNT FOR THIS PROFILE | The mode needs an account for the profile's address, and there is none. |
| CAPTCHA — SOLVE IT IN YOUR BROWSER | Amber. A press-and-hold challenge needs a person. No proxy, persona or address will clear it. Nothing is lost and the address stays unused. Clear the challenge on that proxy, then run the task again. It still counts as a failure in the counters. |
| NO SMS RECEIVED | Red. A number was rented and no code arrived, after every number was tried. The same words in amber during a run mean one number timed out and the task is moving on to the next one. |
| NO SMS — ALL NUMBERS EXPIRED | Every number rented for this address expired before the storefront's SMS arrived. |
| SMS BALANCE EMPTY, SMS SOLD OUT, SMS OVER PRICE CAP | Supply or spend problems at the SMS provider. The storefront is not involved. Nothing was rented in any of the three. |
| NO SUCH ACCOUNT | An add-SMS task could not find the account it was given. |
| LOGIN BLOCKED (PX), NO LOGIN CODE | An add-SMS task did not get past the login. Nothing is rented until a session exists, so neither of these cost money. |
| ADD SMS FAILED | An add-SMS task failed for another reason, such as a login error or a number that did not verify. |
| WALMART LIED — NO ACCOUNT | Gen ended on ALREADY GENNED, then the add-SMS login showed the address has no account. You can retry it on a fresh proxy. |
| AMAZON REFUSED SIGNUP | Amazon declined the signup. |
| NO NUMBERS AVAILABLE, SMS NEVER ARRIVED, BANDAI REJECTED SIGNUP, PROXY CAN'T REACH BANDAI | The Premium Bandai endings. They are kept separate so that running out of numbers never looks like a refusal. |
| DROP CHALLENGED | The raffle entry was challenged. |
| RAFFLE FAILED | The raffle entry failed outright. |
Red or amber, still running#
These show red or amber, but the task has not finished. The red is on purpose. A task walled twelve times in a row should not show blue.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BLOCKED BY AKAMAI, BLOCKED BY PX | This attempt hit a wall. The task moves to a fresh proxy and tries again. |
| NO OTP RECEIVED | The email code for this signup never arrived. The task then restarts, or ends on GEN FAILED when it cannot retry. |
| PX TOKEN NOT MINTED | Amber. The bot check returned no token, so the attempt is dropped and retried. On Walmart CA it can also mean the identity pool ran out, which is a supply problem rather than a wall. |
| ADDRESS BURNED — NEEDS A FRESH ONE | The storefront refused this address. A different proxy will not fix it. |
| INKIRU VELOCITY | Walmart's velocity model pushed back on the attempt. |
| ATTEMPT FAILED — RETRYING | Amber. One attempt in the budget failed and the next one is starting. |
| STOREFRONT REFUSING — PAUSED | Amber. The storefront is refusing, so a circuit breaker is holding the task. The run carries on after the hold. |
| PAGE UNREADABLE — RETRYING, AMAZON DEVICE CHECK | Amber. The task hit something it can recover from and is trying again. |
Switched off#
None of these count as finished or as working. They count as off.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| IDLE | The task never started, or it started once and came back from an app restart. |
| STOPPED | You stopped it. It shows red, but it is off and has not failed. Start All starts it again. |
| DONE | Grey. The task ended with nothing more to do. |
Venn tasks#
A Venn task mints a card instead of an account, so some statuses use card names.
| Venn status | Same as |
|---|---|
| MINTING CARD | STARTING SESSION |
| CARD MINTED | ACCOUNT GENNED |
| CARD FAILED | GEN FAILED |
After a restart#
AETHER saves three statuses, because each one means an account exists. They are ACCOUNT GENNED, SMS VERIFIED and ALREADY GENNED.
Every other status resets when the app starts. After an update, a task that had failed comes back as IDLE, without its red pill.
The task still remembers its retry budget. That stops a task that cannot succeed as set up from using three new addresses on every launch. Clicking Start All gives it a new budget.
- When you click Start All again, every task that is not finished is retried, including login failures. A gen task is skipped if its account was created or already existed, because signing up the same address twice produces ALREADY GENNED.
- A row saved by a much older version can show a status from a mode that no longer exists. Nothing creates those statuses now, so delete the row.
Log lines can also show the storefront's own numbers, such as 412 and 456. For what they mean, see Status codes.
