Running Tasks
Task groups
Create a task group for a batch of tasks on one storefront, then track its tasks and accounts.
Create a group#
Click + at the top of the group rail
The Create Task Group dialog opens. Press Esc or click Cancel to close it without changes.Click a retailer tile
A tile that lists more than one region turns over to a Region side when you click it. A single-region tile stays flat.Name the group
Group Name is free text. Once you pick a retailer, AETHER suggests a name such asWalmart CA. If groups for that retailer and region already exist, it adds their count plus one, such asWalmart CA 2. It does not check existing names, so the suggestion can repeat a name you already use. It never replaces a name you typed.Click Create Task Group
The new group is selected, so the next task you create goes into it.
A group is a batch of tasks that share one storefront. Tasks have no retailer picker, so each task uses the retailer and region of its group. To run the same work on another storefront or region, create another group.
Amazon MX and Amazon JP are the exception. These groups are saved without a region, so their tasks run on Amazon US. The task log says no region on this task or its group — defaulting to US. For the same reason, the suggested name is always plain Amazon MX or Amazon JP.
You can rename a group later. Right-click its card and choose Edit Group. The retailer and region are fixed when you create the group and cannot be changed.
The group also decides which modes you can pick. The mode picker lists only the modes the group's retailer and region support. A Walmart CA group offers different modes from an Amazon JP group. If a mode you expected is missing, the group is set to a storefront that does not have it. See Task modes and Modules.
Group selection#
A group is always selected. AETHER reopens the group you were last in. If that group is gone, it selects the first group in the rail. The screen asking you to create a group appears only when you have no groups.
The counter filter and ticked rows belong to one group, so switching groups clears them. Every bulk action works on one group only.
The rail header always holds a search box, a filter button and the + button. The search box (Search groups...) matches group names. The filter menu lists All, then one row for each site with its count of groups. Both only change which cards you see. They never change the selected group or what a bulk button does.
The group card#
Every card shows the retailer mark, the group name, the task total at the end of the name row, and a 2x2 block of four counters. The layout is the same for every retailer. A counter at zero dims but keeps its place and colour.
| Counter | Counts | Click to show |
|---|---|---|
| Green check | Tasks that ended on a success status. For gen tasks that is ACCOUNT GENNED, SMS VERIFIED, ALREADY GENNED, PHONE NOT ADDED or EMAIL NOT VERIFIED. The account exists in each case. Add SMS tasks count on PHONE ADDED or ALREADY SMS VERIFIED. Enter raffle tasks count on ENTERED or ALREADY ENTERED. | Those tasks. |
| Yellow cart | No task you can create counts here, so it always reads 0 and stays dimmed. | An empty table that says Nothing here. |
| Red cross | Tasks that ended on a failure status. | Those tasks. |
| Blue arc | Tasks running right now, including tasks that are logging in. Tasks parked at QUEUED because a cap is full are not counted. Hover over QUEUED in the table to see which cap. | Every task still in progress, meaning not switched off and not finished. This can list more rows than the counter shows. |
On the selected group, click a counter to filter the table to those tasks. Click the same counter again to clear the filter. On another group, the first click only selects that group and shows all its tasks. Click the counter once more to filter.
Hover over a card to see the group's state, which is Idle, Running or Stalled. The card works it out again from the current counts on every update. It reads Idle when no task in the group is running or queued and none has a status that the green or red counter counts. Otherwise it reads Running, even once every task has finished.
A group can go back to Idle. Stop All keeps ACCOUNT GENNED, SMS VERIFIED and ALREADY GENNED, and sets every other started task to STOPPED. Restarting AETHER also keeps only those three statuses. Every other task comes back as IDLE. A group whose tasks all end on ACCOUNT ALREADY EXISTS also reads Idle.
Stalled replaces Running while any task in the group is rotating, blocked, on INKIRU VELOCITY or on PX FAILED. A task that ends on IP BURNED — PX 307 or BLOCKED AT THE FRONT DOOR also counts, so a finished group can stay Stalled.
The table next to the rail has one row per task, with Proxy List, Mode, Account, OTP Source and Status columns.
Right-click a group card#
The right-click menu holds the group actions. It acts on the card you right-clicked, even when another group is selected.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start All | Starts that group. |
| Stop All | Stops that group. |
| Edit Group | Renames the group. |
| Duplicate Group | Copies the group and every task in it, named <name> copy. The copied tasks are idle and not started. Use it to set up last week's batch again. |
| Delete All Tasks | Asks you to confirm, then deletes every task in the group. The group itself stays. This cannot be undone. |
| Delete Group | Asks you to confirm, then stops anything running and deletes the group, every task in it and their logs. This cannot be undone. |
Where accounts go#
Accounts made by a gen task go into the account group whose name matches the task group's name. Task groups that share a name share one account group, even on different retailers. Give each batch a unique name to keep its accounts apart.
To keep a snapshot of that account group, rename it. The next account made starts a new account group instead of adding to your snapshot.
An iCloud group makes no storefront accounts. Each iCloud task creates one Hide My Email address and adds it to an email pool named after the task group. The pool name keeps letters, digits, hyphens and underscores. Each run of anything else becomes one underscore.
An account group holds accounts that already exist. See Accounts for the format, and for the mix-up that costs people the most time.
